Email List Building
Many confuse Traffic Building with List Building strategies.
Traffic needs to come into the site in order for one to convert it to -well anything.
But your real goal-is in the power of your list. The challenge of convincing people that they will benefit greatly by joining your list is just that…a challenge, but it is VITAL if you want to be in front of the people you are meant to serve.
The people that join your list are people that want to be there. They are asking for the content that you are offering.
You’re not going to spam them, or take advantage of a business card meant strictly for communication and networking opps.
That is the difference between solicited and unsolicited emails and that, in todays’ world, where we are all so overwhelmed with email overload and overflow, is what will get you neatly deleted from exactly where you want to be.
Think about it. When spam arrives in your sacred inbox, what is the first action you take. That’s right.
So no, lets not let it happen that way, because you have a golden opportunity here. Every email address you collect is ultimately money in your pocket if you play your cards right. But you must respect your audience.
List building is an art. And a skill. And I talk about it a lot, and write about it even more.
Before employing any of these tactics however, you must first have an email service dedicated to collecting those emails for you.
That’s step #1.
There are a number of email services out there. I use AWeber because I find it the simplest and because there are actual people in the customer service department who will gladly use a telephone to help you. I’m not kidding. (Huge, in my book)
