12 Most Important Things To Know When Creating an Online Marketing Strategy

3 weeks ago I ran a contest asking for great idea’s to help me get my blog onto 12most.com, a website that has taken over my brain. I’m on a mission to have my blog published there. Why? Who knows; I love the concept and the creativity, and the writers are top notch. And I got some great responses, although it was hard, wasn’t it, coming up with topics that weren’t just 12, but 12 MOST….that tripped most people up. I also promised that the winner of my little contest , should it get me accepted into 12most.com would win either a multi page, in depth website analysis, or if the winner could care less about the optimization of their website or a website at all, a 30 minute marketing consultation on the subject of their choice. I’m going with the suggestion of Jack Reilly. Owner of nothing other than a nice wardrobe and cool condo, Jack is in sales at a start up new media company in Philadelphia. So I don’t know if he needs my services at all, but heck, we can skype about the Eagles. Or cream cheese. He had a great suggestion, and I chose it because the subject is relevant and useful for all those lost in Traditional Marketing Land, and unsure of what your next steps should be so as not to flush your hard earned advertising and marketing budget down the drain. 12 Most Important Things To Know When Creating An Online Marketing Strategy. Check it out and you’ll see- I think I’m addicted. [Read more...]

4 Reasons Why Your Small Business Needs SEO

I’ve been reading a lot of marketing statistics lately. Happy to report, these are some of the more impressive numbers. These days, companies need to think long and hard about where and when to spend their hard earned marketing dollars, and Return On Investment has never been more important. So a responsible marketing company needs to take that all into account when devising a marketing plan for/with that company. People want and deserve to see results and have little to no tolerance for a $2000 marketing or advertising mistake. Nor should they!

1) With SEO, otherwise known as Search Engine Optimization, customers are searching for you, rather than you searching for customers. Marketing 101 tells us that as soon as someone starts to try and sell us something, we become defensive and back away as a natural instinct. But what if the search engine did the selling for us, and all we had to do was get our website ranked in the top few positions and just sit back and wait for customers to come to us? Sounds pretty simple right? Well once your website is ranked, it really is that simple. It’s not an overnight process, by any stretch, there is no marketing magic wand, but properly executed, it works. [Read more...]

Image Is Everything; Don’t be Afraid to Re-Brand

I’m walking down Prince Street yesterday having just come out of the dentists office, where my dental hygienist sub, not my usual Theresa, must have been having a really bad day. My mouth felt like a HAZMAT truck had made a wrong turn and landed there. Besides that I’d just spent $40 to deep condition my hair and now it was drizzling out and my hair did not seem to care that I’d just dropped $40. I could feel it rising Medusa-like like about to encircle my head in a halo of frizz. What the heck? [Read more...]
